Who we are
Common Vision UK (“we”) operates holdthis.space (the “Site”). This page lets you know about our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
This site collects and processes the following Personal information: your name, your year of birth, and your email address. You can choose whether or not to provide this data. This data is provided directly by you and used to customise your experience on the site. Your date of birth, if provided, will also be used by us to monitor which age groups are using the site so that we can improve the Site. Your email address, if provided, will be used to send you two automated emails to either a) share a snapshot of your responses; or b) send you a link to a feedback survey.
All personal data is stored securely on the server. Your date of birth and email will not be shared with anyone else. Your first name will be used to personalise any outputs you produce (the ‘postcard from the future’ or ‘manifesto of collective action’) which may be shared on social media). We will not attribute any of these outputs in a traceable manner.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are legitimate interest and your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time.
Like many site operators, we also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, options you click, the time and date of your visit, and other statistics. We will not share your personal log data, but we may synthesise aggregate trends on an anonymised basis and share these with partner organisations. The lawful basis for sharing these insights are legitimate interests and contractual obligations.
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
